I’m thrilled to have been elected to the Newton City Council, At-Large, from Ward 3 as a way to step up, have a voice, and a VOTE on the variety of complex and sometimes contentious projects and proposals that come before Newton.
"Andrea Kelley brings energy, experience and a deep understanding of the challenges facing our city. She is the logical choice for those who embrace Newton’s villages, as she understands and appreciates the importance of historic preservation, has been an advocate for maintaining and enhancing open space, and works to prepare our city to meet the current and future needs of residents." - Jay Walter, former Vice President of Historic Newton
"Andrea Kelley's long resume of leadership in Newton shows her deep commitment to our city; she is a hard working, engaging, open-minded and collaborative problem solver - exactly what we need on the City Council." - Deb Crossley, Councilor-at-Large, Ward 5
"Having known Andrea for years through the League of Women Voters, I can attest that her broad knowledge and experience give her a depth of knowledge of the complex challenges that face Newton today. Her natural ability to balance different opinions and work towards consensus to achieve constructive solutions makes her the kind of community leader we need." - Anne Swingle Borg, past President LWV Newton, past Co-President LWV Massachusetts, former School Committee Member, Ward 8
